Cookbook Challenge 2015

We just moved to Colorado and I have unpacked over 100 cookbooks. I also donated over 30 cookbooks when I left, believing I brought only the best with me. That remains to be seen. I love to cook but am sometimes amazed at how overwhelmed I get with choosing a recipe. So my husband challenged me to cook one thing out of a different cookbook every day until the end of the year. That is 155 days of using my cookbooks. If my math is good, I will use at least one recipe from each cookbook and then some.

I have what I think are great cookbooks – from Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking to multiple James Beard’s cookbooks and Barbara Kafka’s classicRoasting.

Method of choosing a recipe:

Insert my fingers into a book and open. Do this three times. Choose one recipe. Period. Move on.

I am keeping a running list of the recipes! I challenge you to try one and let me know how it turned out! Enjoy!
